A digital health locker is a secure online space where you can store, organize, and access medical records, prescriptions, and lab reports for yourself and your family from any device.
What is a HealthVault Family ? +
HealthVault Family is an AI-powered Secure Personal Health Record (PHR) platform that combines intelligent medical document management, OCR, AI-assisted health insights, family collaboration, health monitoring, emergency access, and secure cloud storage into a single scalable healthcare platform.
Is HealthVault Family free to use? +
HealthVault Family is currently inviting families to its complimentary beta programme. The public plan structure and any paid options will be shown before general availability.
How is my family's medical data kept secure? +
Medical records are encrypted and securely stored, with account-level access controls so each family member's health data stays organized and private within your account.
Can I add multiple family members to one account? +
Yes. HealthVault Family is built around family profiles, so you can manage separate, clearly organized health records for every member of your family under a single account.
How does the AI-powered OCR feature work? +
When you upload a photo or scan of a prescription or lab report, HealthVault Family automatically reads and extracts the key details using OCR technology, so records are organized without manual data entry.
Can HealthVault Family send medication reminders? +
Yes. Medication schedules can be created for family members and synced to the device for local notifications, subject to notification permissions and device settings.
Is HealthVault replacing ABHA, or does it complement it? +
ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account) is India's national health ID system. HealthVault is different—it's a private, family-focused health record vault. Think of ABHA as a government health ID; HealthVault is your personal family medical filing cabinet. You can use both together. In fact, many families do: ABHA for connecting to government hospitals, HealthVault for organizing your entire medical history across doctors and family members.
Is my family's medical data really encrypted and secure? +
Yes. All medical documents are encrypted using AES-256 before being stored on our servers. See our full privacy policy.
Does HealthVault work offline on my phone? +
Not yet. HealthVault currently requires an internet connection to upload, search, and share records. However, we're building offline support so you can view cached documents without internet. Most families use HealthVault at home or on WiFi, and share documents when they're with a doctor (who typically has internet). If offline access is critical for your use case, let us know—it helps prioritize our roadmap.
Can I delete my family's data anytime? +
Absolutely. You can delete individual records, entire family member profiles, or your entire account anytime from settings. Once you request deletion, your data is permanently removed from our servers within 30 days, subject to any legally required retention obligations. No backups, no recovery.
What happens to my data if I stop paying? +
Your data stays yours. If your paid plan expires, you can still view all your records in the free tier (with storage limits). All your data remains encrypted and secure. You can reactivate a paid plan anytime without losing anything. If you decide to leave completely, you can download your entire medical history as PDFs or export it to another service.
